Google Earth has some cool things I could use to show my students various facts and features about the rest of the world. I especially liked the light pollution visual. The note taking feature would be more appropriate for high school kids than for my 10-11 year olds, but a simple project might be devised to motivate interest in doing research. I was glad to learn the difference between search engines and directories. I do feel better informed.
